I only receive email notification of updates to stuff I have added myself. Should I also be receiving notification when any other person has added something to any parts of thewebsite?

Yes, you should receive an email every time something is posted.
I have just had a look at your settings, you were not subscribed, an oversight, to the committee forum but are now subscribed to everything.
Let me know if it doesn't work.
Ths whole email notification thing isn't yet working as I had hoped. People are being inundated with email. I am working to change this so that only one email per day goes out with all updates on it.
